Colombian Navy finds more than 80 kilos of cocaine in Cartagena

cogfm-arc-operaciones-contra-narcotrafico-cartagena-22.jpg

More than 60 tons of drugs were found in the Caribbean by the Colombian Navy

The successful result came after the Cartagena Coast Guard Station Units carried out the inspection of the motorboat, in which two individuals, with a suspicious attitude, traveled late at night, in the Marapita Island area, in Cartagena.

The boat that was taken to the Coast Guard Station for rigorous inspections was verified by the Cartagena Coast Guard men, highly qualified in this type of procedure, who found inside gas cylinders and boxes, where 80 pressed packages were stored, which apparently contained the illicit substance.

On suspicion of a possible stash traffic, the National Police authorities when conducting the Preliminary Initial Test Homologated, Piph, determine that it was cocaine hydrochloride.

With this finding, thanks to the rapid reaction of the Units, it was possible to prevent nearly 24 billion pesos from entering the financial structures of drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean.
