In the framework of search and control operations carried out by the Colombian Navy in the waters of the Atrato River, three thousand gallons of diesel were found by troops, damaging by more than 28 million pesos the finances of the criminal groups that commit crimes in the department of Chocó.
The operation was carried out by troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 16, who found the fuel that according to the preliminary investigation would be used for drug production and illegal mining activities. In the same way, it was transported without the certificates for the management of controlled chemical substances, for which it was immobilized and put into custody of the authorities.
