The Colombian Navy, supported the people of Puerto Ospina, in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, department of Putumayo, during an emergency generated by a fire that occurred in four houses of the urban area.
Immediately, crewmembers of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 30th, arrived at the scene to protect the good physical condition of the inhabitants, and in a coordinated work with Colombian National Army, fire units of Puerto El Carmen, Ecuador and the people in general, it was in the same way possible, the evacuation of the belongings of the surrounding houses to prevent the spread of the fire and greater material loses, protecting the lives of the families of the sector.
Simultaneously, the Naval Institution informed about what happened to the Municipal Disaster Risk Management Committee of Puerto Leguizamo, in order to coordinate the necessary operations to provide support in the emergency and manage the corresponding aid from government institutions, to the families that were hit.
