Colombian Navy seized 50 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 3 kilograms of marijuana

This year, Units of the Caribbean Naval Force have found more than 120 tons of cocaine.

Coast Guard Units of the Colombian Navy achieved a new blow to drug trafficking organizations in the Golfo de Urabá, where they seized 50 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and three kilograms of marijuana in maritime control operations in Gulf waters, which were transported on board a tourist boat to the Capurganá sector, near the Panama border.

The boat had sailed from the Muelle del Waffe in the municipality of Turbo, Antioquia, and was subsequently inspected at the maritime wharf at the Urabá Coast Guard station, where was found inside three black bags containing alleged illicit substances.

Immediately, units of the Criminal Investigation Group of the National Police carried out the Preliminary Identification Tests -PIPH -, which gave positive result for 50.1 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 3.1 kilograms of marijuana.

During the operation, the capture of an individual was carried out, which was put into custody of the authorities for the judicial process.
