Colombian Navy strengthens roads safety in the Montes de Mar铆a region

cogfm-arc-seguridad-vial-montes-maria-17.jpg

On board tactical combat vehicles type AM General and Navistar Defense, permanent patrols are carried out in the municipalities of El Carmen de Bol铆var, San Onofre, Sinc茅 and Gambote.

In order to ensure free mobility and safety on national and rural roads in the departments of Bol铆var and Sucre, the Colombian Navy has deployed troops and vehicles of the Navy Infantry Mobility Battalion No.1, in Mahates, in the department of Bol铆var.

These mobile patrols established by the Naval Institution provide timely response to Navy Infantry troops, in the face of any threat from the Organized Armed Groups, GAO, and Armed Criminal Groups, GDO, while ensuring mobility by land on the roads of the municipalities in the department of Bol铆var and Sucre.

In addition to this effort, the Colombian Navy and the National Police have in the same way conducted work meetings with social leaders from Sucre and Bolivia, with the objective of taking coordinated measures to continue guaranteeing security and generating favorable conditions that foster the peaceful development of the region.
