Troops of the National Army in a joint operation with the Colombian Air Force, coordinated with the National Police and Inter-Institutional with the Attorney General's Office, hit a structure of the organized armed group, Gao, Clan del Golfo, in the municipality of Monteverde, rural area of the municipality of Cúcuta, Norte de Santander.
The troops engaged a combat encounter that so far leaves as a result one dead in development of military operations, and four more arrested, one of them who was injured, was assisted by combat nurses of the military unit in compliance with International Humanitarian Law.
In the search, the troops found war material corresponding to two rifles, a pistol, a grenade, a riflescope, military accessories material and documents of interest to military intelligence.
