It was possible a heavy operation with the capture of alias 'Pepe' or alias 'Pedro', who was the maximum leader of the organized armed group Los Pelusos, who had more than 14 years of criminal experience in the departments of Cesar and Norte de Santander, articulating the shipment of large amounts of cocaine with the cartels of Mexico and Venezuela. He had under his control 400 members of this illegal group, as well as the group to increase their income through drug trafficking.
This result was achieved after an interagency effort with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation. It was conducted by the National Police and the intelligence platforms of the Air Combat Command No. 3. With the meticulous work of human and technical intelligence they captured this ringleader in the area of the municipality of Pueblo Bello in the department of Cesar.
The Colombian Air Force will continue joining forces with the National Police and the Military Forces of Colombia to continue giving great blows to these criminal structures that are so damaging to the security in the different regions of the country.
