cogfm-fuerza-aerea-operaciones-contra-mineria-ilegal-cauca-19.jpg

As part of the ongoing inter-institutional effort in the Colombian Pacific region against Organized Armed Groups, a coordinated and interagency operation was carried out against the illicit exploitation of mining deposits, one of the phenomena that become a high percentage of income for the financing of the generators of violence in the Colombian southwestern region.

This operation included the coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, who carried out operations to reach the municipality of Cheté, in Timbiquí, in Cauca, to neutralize and deal with this modality that significantly hits the environment and its natural resources.

Our distinctive resources led to the insertion into this sector of members of the National Police who carried out the work of destroying eight illegally used excavators, which represents a direct loses of around 2,400 million pesos in finance of these illicit structures.
