The Colombian Air Force participated in a successful joint and coordinated operation in the Department of Boyacá.
In the course of military operations against drug traffickers operating in the Department of Boyacá, a laboratory for the production and manufacture of coca paste, belonging to structures of the organized armed group, Gao, Clan del Golfo was destroyed.
During this joint and coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the police, it was possible to destroy a narcotics production laboratory, where approximately 28 kilograms of coca base, about 550 kilograms of solid precursors and about 210 gallons of liquid precursors were found by troops; elements that were used for the production and manufacture of this substance.
Thanks to the aerial intelligence work by the Air Force maintenance Air Command, it was possible to determine the work of potential threats and orientate the land units in the rural area of the municipality of Puerto Boyacá, Department of Boyacá, in the same way, to hit in a decisive way this financial system based on drug trafficking.
