The minors were put into custody of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute for the restoration of their rights.
Thanks to the military operation carried out by the troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 9, of the Ninth Brigade, in the municipality of Algeciras, department of Huila, it was possible to recover three minors who had been victims of forced recruitment by the Dagoberto Ramos Front, Arlex Vargas Company, in support of the Isaías Pardo Central Bloc.
The 15- and 16-year-old minors had been recruited in the department of Cauca, and had been reported missing to be used by the illegal structure in criminal activities against the Military Forces and the inhabitants, thus violating human rights and violating international humanitarian law.
In 2025, the soldiers of the Ninth Brigade, in their fight against illegal recruitment, have recovered ten minors of the ranks of organized armed groups outlaw, thus protecting Colombian children.
