In the department of Meta we do not give truce to insecurity
Accompanied by the secretaries of Government and Mobility and Transport of the mayor's office of Villavicencio and municipal mayors, soldiers of the Seventh Brigade, in coordination with the National Police, carry out control and monitoring with perimeter patrols and permanent surveillance in the neighborhoods of the capital city of Meta and municipalities of the region.
The commander of the Seventh Brigade of the National Army, Colonel Héctor William Murillo Sánchez, during the security operations, gave a report of tranquility to the inhabitants of Meta “In the department of Meta, the Door to the Colombian la orinoquía region, the Army in coordination with our National Police, work in coordination giving tranquility and security so that all travelers, tourists and merchants, transit through our roads with confidence.” On the other hand, the Meta Police commander, Colonel Miguel Andrés Camelo Sánchez, invited people to report any suspicious or anomalous situation.
The Department of Meta has not reported damage to the energy and road infrastructure due to terrorist criminal operations by the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo and residual GAO, thanks to the territorial control and operations effort of the Military Forces, which day and night guards travelers on the roads and municipalities with checkpoints, patrols and mixed night patrols, in the plains region in the frame of the presidential elections.
It should be noted that in the department of Meta, 214 individuals were arrested in the previous year and in 2022, the figure is 32 arrests, including alias El Indio, alias Soldado and alias Brayan, which counters the criminal operations of this group in the south-east of the country.
