Destruction of laboratory for production of cocaine hydrochloride of the GAO-r “Estructura 30”

In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan “Heroes Of Freedom” (Héroes de la Libertad), troops of the Joint Task Force Hercules find and destroy a laboratory for production cocaine hydrochloride, in the Tangarial village of the municipality of Olaya Herrera, in the department of Nariño.

The operations on the sector led to find the five structures that made up this lab that belonged to the residual Organized Armed Group “Structure 30”, in the place troops found 25 gallons of coca base in process, three martians (rudimentary distillation towers), eight microwave ovens, an hydraulic press and other with engine, and other soli precursors used for the production of the drug.

According to intelligence information, the laboratory had a camp area to house approximately 55 people who would carry out the illegal work of production of cocaine hydrochloride for this structure of the residual GAO.

This result prevents drug trafficking activities in the area, since the laboratory had the capacity to produce two or three tons of cocaine hydrochloride per month that would be transported and traded abroad, which in addition contributes to the illicit activities of the residual organized armed group ‘structure 30’.

The material and the clandestine structures were destroyed under controlled conditions in the area of operations, complying with all environmental preservation measures.
