Dismantling of drug trafficking organization that sent drugs from Colombia to different countries of the world

cogfm-fac-operacion-narcotrafico-cacom3-20.jpg

The National Police, through the Anti-Narcotics Directorate (DIRAN in Spanish), with the participation of the Colombian Air Force, the Anti-Drug Agency (DEA) and the Attorney General's Office, led a coordinated operation against a drug trafficking network, capturing five people who sent large shipments of cocaine from Colombia and allegedly had links with the Organized Armed Group – GAO,  Clan del Golfo.

Commandos of Special Operations and judicial investigators of the Criminal Investigation Section of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the National Police and human intelligence of the Air Combat Command No.3, carried out the operation 'Gideon', which could identify a criminal structure that used private aircraft and 'go fast' boats, for drug trafficking towards Central America and the United States.

This result is obtained thanks to the meticulous work of intelligence and judicial investigation, managing to establish that this drug trafficking network, called itself 'Gideon', had proximity to the 'Sinaloa' Cartel to coordinate drugs shipments.
