In development of territorial control operations in the department of Meta, troops of the Joint Task Force 'Omega', found an illegal hideout and a laboratory that produces coca base paste, apparently belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, Structure Seventh .
The first operation was reported in the village El Encanto, municipality of Vistahermosa, where the hideout was found with two improvised explosive devices, a 60 mm grenade, 112 cartridges caliber 7.62 mm for PKM machinegun and 17 cartridges caliber 7.62 mm for AK rifle -47.
The explosive devices were neutralized under controlled conditions in the place and the war material was put into custody of the Attorney General's Office for their respective judicial process.
On the other hand, in the village Nueva Colombia, land and river soldiers found and destroyed a coca base paste laboratory with 30 gallons of coca base in process, 20 gallons of gasoline, a rudimentary press and other liquid and solid precursors.
