Norte de Santander. The constant operations conducted by the Vulcano Task Force in rural area of Guachiman and Area Libre, in the municipality of Tibú, in the department of Norte de Santander, conducted to the discovery and subsequent destruction of two coca paste laboratories which would belong to the "Juan Fernando Porras Martínez" Front of the Eln.
In the structures, the troops found 907 kilos of minced coca leaf, 50 kilos of urea, 50 kilos of lime, 50 kilos of ammonium sulfate, 100 kilos of cement, 385 gallons of coca paste in production and 275 gallons of refined gasoline, substances used for the production of narcotic drugs.
The Vulcano Task Force will continue to comply its constitutional mission to provide security and defense conditions in El Catatumbo region, carrying out operations to counteract the criminal operations that the armed groups intend to carry out. At the same time, it invites the civilian population to use the free of charge line 147 to denounce any suspicious act that could hit the region.
