With the purpose of generating awareness spaces and promoting the responsible return of post-consumer waste, the S煤mate al Ciclo campaign was held in Puerto Salgar, department de Cundinamarca, and it is strengthening environmental education and the culture of ecological responsibility; the initiative was led by the Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, and the Retorna Group.
For two days, the participants received informative talks about responsible waste management, integrating learning and fun in the same space, in addition to handle post-consumer waste such as household pesticides, electrical and electronic appliances, lead-acid batteries, and used tires.
At the end of the activity, 150 kilograms of waste, more than 30 tires were collected and it was possible to increase awareness in 456 people, generating a positive impact on the community, reinforcing the importance of joining efforts to protect the environment.
The Colombian Aerospace Force recognizes that environmental protection is fundamental to work for a sustainable future, since natural resources are the basis for the well-being of communities and the country; therefore, it will continue to conduct this type of activities that promote conservation, environmental education and the responsible use of resources, reaffirming that its mission of serving Colombia includes the commitment to take care of the natural environment.
