In an activity that reaffirms the institutional commitment to the care of the environment and the strengthening of the social fabric, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Air Combat Command No. 5, CACOM 5, made the distribution of two composters to the Santamaría School, in the Aguas Claras village, in the municipality of El Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia.
This initiative is part of the social responsibility campaign Plan Corazón Amigo of CACOM 5, whose objective is to support education, well-being and improve the quality of life of communities. Through this distribution, it seeks to promote sustainable practices and strengthen ecological awareness in the community, benefiting approximately 750 families by promoting responsible waste management.
During the activity, CACOM 5 staff explained to the teachers the operation of composters and the importance of composting as an ecological tool to transform waste into natural fertilizer, which can be used in school gardens or institutional gardens.
