Due to the heavy rains that caused emergencies and landslides in the Southwest and West of the department of Antioquia, the Colombian Aerospace Force sent a Black Hawk helicopter in Halcon configuration, to support relief agencies and government institutions, transporting personnel who will assess the damage.
This mission is coordinated by the Air Combat Command No. 5, CACOM 5, who transported from Medell铆n to Abriaqu铆, Venecia and later Fredonia members of the Administrative Department of Risk Management (Dagran) and the Secretary of Physical Construction of Antioquia, to establish the mitigation operations and works that will be carried out.
With the installation of the unified command post, the necessary coordination and comprehensive accompaniment will be established to provide support at the points hit by the avalanches.
