In compliance with its commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the strategic transport thanks to its aircraft, has managed to transport more than 45,000 kilograms of checkpoint-consumer material from the Amazonas region to the capital city of the country in 2025, in coordination with the Amazonas Sin Límites Foundation.
This important cargo, made of cardboard, PET, bags, aluminum and other recyclable elements, is part of the social project El Jaguar – Creating Opportunities, which seeks to promote the proper use, recycling and final disposal of waste, in accordance with national environmental guidelines.
The impact of this operation is reflected not only in the mitigation of environmental damage to the strategic ecosystems of the Amazonas department, but in the same way in the generation of social opportunities, since the project contributes to the dignity of the work of professional waste pickers, promoting their inclusion and recognizing them as key actors within the economy.
Through these operations, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Amazonas Air Group, fulfills its commitment to protect the extreme south of the country, contributing to the purposes of the State, using its logistical resources and military operations to strengthen sustainable projects, support the most remote communities and safeguard the nation's natural heritage.
