ExpoDefensa 2025 promotes strategic alliances and dual resources to face global challenges.

The tenth edition of ExpoDefensa will count on leaders and decision makers from South America, Central America and the Caribbean, in the field of defense and security.
The Defense sector seeks to revitalize the national industry, based on the projects carried out with the companies of the Defense Social and Business Group.
"ExpoDefensa 2025 is an opportunity for the productive sector not only to accompany the work of the Military Forces, but to become a strategic ally in strengthening the resources of military and logistical operations.”
This was stated by the Minister of National Defense, Pedro Arnulfo Sánchez Suarez, at the ExpoDefensa launch Press meeting, which will take place from December 1st and 3rd, at facilities in Corferias.
Accompanied by the leaders of the co-organizing institutions, Charles Beaudouin, president of Coges Events; Colonel Nilssen Janeth Gutierrez Suaréz, Manager of the High Technology Corporation for Defense - CODALTEC; and Mario Cajiao, vice president of planning and corporate affairs of Corferias, the Minister informed that this edition will receive 230 exhibitors from 27 countries.
“On the second day of ExpoDefensa 2025, we will launch a space for the defense of life and ideas. This is the Ideathon of the Innovation Force Hub, a co-creation space with which we want different sectors of society to share innovative initiatives of the use of artificial intelligence, to generate operations that lead us to identify illegal activities associated with multicrime,” Minister Sánchez announced.
In his speech, the head of the Defense highlighted that: “Expodefensa has consolidated as a reference event for innovation and technological development at the service of those who protect Colombia,” and added that, in this edition of the fair, the Ministry of Defense will tend to invest in innovative solutions that improve the efficiency of military operations and at the same time boost the national industry.
For his part, the president of Coges Events, Charles Beaudouin, organizer of major international security and defense fairs, expressed his gratitude for the trust and the follow-up of the collaboration for the sixth time, since 2015.
"Defense events do not exist only to show technology, they exist to build trust, and that is one of the objectives of ExpoDefensa 2025, to connect vulnerabilities with resources to be able to promote innovation oriented to the challenges of military operation (...) Industries that not only build security but in the same way promote economic development, productive sophistication and sustainable growth of the region converge here,” said Colonel Gutierrez, Manager of CODALTEC.
In his turn, the Vice President of Planning and Corporate Affairs of Corferias, Mario Cajiao, highlighted the importance of the biennial Fair, whose work impacts on the economic development of the country.
"ExpoDefensa is a key space for the National industry. Colombia has companies with great talent, vocation and innovation, which today are carrying out solutions with real impact for security, protection and well-being. This fair gives them visibility, connects them with international buyers and boosts their growth," Cajiao said.
At the Fair there will not only be an exhibition of dual resources and new technologies, but in the same way an academic program led by the Ministry of National Defense, which work to provides keynote talks on the role of the Defense industry in socio-economic development.
