In order to prevent the spread of the forest fire that occurs in the eastern hills of the city of Bogotá, the Colombian Aerospace Force sent a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, configured with the Bambi Bucket system, which leads to water drops and retardant liquid that mitigate the emergency.
About 11 water drops combined with retardant liquid have already been made to mitigate this conflagration.
This environmental emergency is being assisted in coordination with the National Personnel Recovery Center (CENRP), the Air Combat Command No. 2 with its crews, the National Risk Management Unit (UNGRD) and the Bogotá Firefighters.
