Heeding the call of the people in the department of Tolima, the Colombian Aerospace Force participated this week in a humanitarian medical assistance activity in the village of La Reforma, led by the Mayor's Office of Melgar. A team made up of officers of the Reserve of the Air Combat Command No. 4, CACOM 4, provided specialized care in gynecology, radiology, psychology, general medicine, dentistry, legal and veterinary consulting, in addition to supplying medicines and managing donations for the benefited families.
The deployment of military operations resources of CACOM 4 led to providing support to people with limited access to these essential services as well as their pets, and other animals that received veterinary care, reinforcing the commitment to the comprehensive well-being of the community. In the same way, thanks to the support of institutions such as the Family Compensation Fund, Cafam, and the Cooperative University of Colombia, it was possible to expand the benefits raising greater coverage and quality of care.
The coordination with the Mayor's Office of Melgar and the joint work with different institutions made possible an activity that not only provided health, but in the same way hope through the distribution of donations and medicines meeting basic needs, strengthening trust between the inhabitants and the institutions that work for their well-being.
