The substance is one of the main components for the transformation of the Coca Base. The continuous controls on the road axis, led the troops of the Infantry Battalion No.27 'Magdalena', of the Ninth Brigade, to achieve the discovery of the chemical evaluated in the illicit market, in 65 million pesos.

The operation took place in the village of El Cedro, in the municipality of Pitalito, in the south of Huila. Information provided by telephone, warned of the movement of a vehicle with the chemical.

The rigorous control operations led to check the truck with plates THR 503 that covered the Pitalito - Mocoa - Putumayo route. After inspection, 40 barrels were found in the middle of sacks of pressed rice husk; a total 600 gallons of sulfuric acid were found.

The driver of the vehicle, Mr. Wilky Sneider Lizcano Galindo was caught in flagrante delicto, who was immediately put into custody of the authority, together with the vehicle and the substance, for the crime of Trafficking of Substances for the Production of Narcotics.

For the development of this judicial process, the military unit counted on the support of the Technical Investigation Corps, CTI, of the Prosecutor's Office.

The work to hit the business of the groups that perpetrate drug trafficking are strengthened and do not cease.
