Within this clandestine infrastructure used for drug production by the Residual Armed Group, GAO-r, Seventh Structure, the soldiers found half a ton of Cocaine Hydrochloride, more than 101 kilos of coca base, 2145 gallons of liquid precursors, 1,275 kilograms of solid precursors, microwave ovens, fuel, machinery and equipment.
This constitutes a decisive blow to illegal activities, since they stop receiving around 500 million pesos a week from the production of this drug.
The discovery of this clandestine infrastructure occurs in El Capricho, in the municipality of San Jos茅 del Guaviare, within the framework of a joint and coordinated military operation, conducted by troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 5 of the Eastern Specific Command, the Battalion against Drug Trafficking No.3, Aviation of the National Army and personnel of Regional division No. 7, as well as the Antinarcotics Directorate of the National Police, thanks to the information provided by the Civic Participation Network of the region.
When the procedure for the controlled destruction of the cocaine laboratory was being carried out and following the respective protocols for this purpose, the troops and the anti-narcotics police engaged combats with members of the Residual Organized Armed Group, Seventh Structure, without any deaths or injuries.
The discovery of this infrastructure and the chemical precursors used to crystallize the coca base paste, shows once again how this criminal narcoterrorist organization is profiting from illegal activities, causing damage to life, water, biodiversity, the environment and the society.
