Troops of the National Navy in a joint operation with the National Army, could find an illegal hideout with weapons, in the Pangalita sector of the municipality of San Juan Litoral in the department of Chocó, which belonged to the front Ernesto Che Guevara, of the Organized Armed Group - ELN.
Thanks to information from naval intelligence, the troops moved to a house, where they established that in the back there was an illegal hideout, that contained a 55-gallon plastic barrels, which contained an M-16 rifle, a rifle M-4, 12 magazines for rifle 5.56 millimeters, 281 cartridges caliber 5.56 millimeters, a grenade launcher of 40 millimeters, a scope for rifle, a fragmentation grenade, an ICOM radio and military accessories material marked with the name of this Organized Armed Group.
This material that was used to intimidate the civilian population and attack on the Military Forces, belonged to alias 'Tulio' ringleader of the Front Group 'Ernesto Che Guevara', which commits crimes in this sector.
The investigations determined that these criminals have been threatening the inhabitants of the region, to hide weapons and alkaloids near the houses.
During the operation, no captures were made. The materials were put into custody of the authorities.
