The result helps thwart attacks against the Security forces and the civilian population.
The Sixth Division of the National Army, through the Ground Operations Battalion No. 21, in operations aimed at exercising Institutional Control of the Territory and attacking threats against security under the Horus Plan, found an illegal hideout belonging to the organized armed group Residual Structure “Teófilo Forero”, in the north of the department of Caquetá.
The operation was carried out in the Nogales district, in the municipality of Puerto Rico. In the site that was found as a result of a work with the Civic Participation Network that compromised the intelligence procedures, troops found 111 cartridges caliber 5.56 millimeters, two antipersonnel mines, an IM-26 grenade, a radio and two magazines for pistol 9 millimeters
The improvised explosive devices were destroyed under controlled conditions, the rest of the material that was going to be used to attack on the Security forces and the inhabitants of the sector, was put into custody of the authority.
