Finding of materials used by illegal groups for Illegal Mining in Putumayo

Troops of the Sixth Division, Twenty-Seventh Brigade, with its Battalion of Military Engineers No.27, in territorial control operations in rural areas of the municipality of Puerto Asís, found seven dredges, which would be used for illegal exploitation of mining deposits  found seven dredges, which would be used for illegal exploitation of mining deposits.

 

Troops found, three structures for washing, several gallons of oil, gasoline, nets, and tubes among other elements that were destroyed under the supervision of the authorities.

 

In the same way, in the village of Valdio, thanks to intelligence work, two cubic meters of wood were found; these elements were being transported without environmental permits or safe-conducts.

 

The Twenty-Seventh Brigade will continue conducting search and territorial control operations, preventing illegal mining and preserving the resources of the region, reaffirming its commitment to environment protection, the tranquility and safety of the inhabitants of this region of the country.
