In a joint and interagency operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) for the Judicial Investigation of Crimes against the Environment and Contraband of the Attorney General's Office, an important result was possible against the invasion of lands and deforestation in the department of Vichada. In this operation, carried out in the El Tuparro National Natural Park, the arrest of a man was possible; he is now into custody of the specialized personnel of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office.
In the same way, in order to protect the natural resources and the environment from the depredation caused by unscrupulous persons who build illegal settlements, conduct invasion, and sale of lots on this natural reserve, the COLOMBIAN AIR FORCE exerts constant surveillance with aerial platforms and with other authorities prevent criminal acts that threaten our environment.
