Within the framework of the Amazonas Plan, the First Brigade of Colombian National Army participated in an environmental activity in the village of Pirgua, Tunja, where 700 native oaks were planted in order to strengthen the ecological restoration of the territory.
The activity was carried out within the framework of an alliance conducted by the private and public sector by Proboyacá, as part of the environmental strategy of the Boyacá 2050 Master Plan, Bridge to the Future and is part of the Boyacá 2050 Plan, an initiative that seeks to expand forest cover in areas damaged by erosion and agricultural pressure, thus contributing to the protection of soils and the conservation of Andean ecosystems.
During the activity, members of the Military Forces of the First Brigade worked together with the institutions allied to Proboyacá in the planting of native specimens, reaffirming their commitment to the care of the environment and the sustainable development of the region.
