Fuel JET A-1, used by Narco planes, was found in the Colombian Orinoquía region.

In the operation "Pedro Pascasio Martínez" against illicit activities, with focus on operations against drug trafficking, troops of the Navy of Colombia with the National Army, found in the jungle area of ​​Inírida, in the department of Guainia, 900 gallons of fuel for aviation of foreign origin, which would be used in aircrafts that perpetrate traffic of alkaloids.

 

Using a tactical fluvial procedure of amphibious assault, units of Marine Infantry found in the sector known as "Sesema", on the banks of the Guaviare river, an illegal gathering center where 15 plastic barrels stored the fuel JET A- 1, valued at close to eighteen million eight hundred thousand pesos ($ 18,800,000.00).

 

According to intelligence work, the fuel belonged to the Residual Organized Armed Group “First” Structure, significantly damaging the drug trafficking logistic chain of the illegal activity that these outlaw groups use to finance their criminal and terrorist operations.

 

The fuel was put into custody of the Judicial Police. During the operation, no captures were reported. The Colombian Navy ratifies its commitment to the frontal fight against drug trafficking in the region of the Colombian Orinoquía, guaranteeing the safety and tranquility of the civilian population.
