cogfm-ejercito-artefacto-explosivo-neutralizado-puerto-gaitan-meta-25.jpeg

Within the framework of military operations aligned to the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Seventh Brigade, with units of the National Police, upon finding mortar rounds, neutralized a criminal operation that the GAO (Organized Armed Group) Clan del Golfo intended to carry out in the department of Meta.

The soldiers and police officers in the village of San Miguel, in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, found an illegal hiding place in which members of the Gonzalo Oquendo Urrego Substructure were hiding 16 projectile-type elements (8 81-mm caliber grenades and 8 60-mm caliber grenades).

This material was put into custody of the Basic Criminal Investigation Unit in Puerto Gaitán, and it was in the same way destroyed by the SIJIN anti-explosives and anti-terrorism unit (JUDICIAL POLICE).
