A giant laboratory that produced five tons of cocaine hydrochloride per month was destroyed

cgfm-destruido-en-samaniego-un-gigantesco-laboratorio-que-producia_-cinco-toneladas-de-clorhidrato-de-cocaina-al-mes.jpg

Continuing with the military offensive, the troops of the National Army hit another decisive blow to the drug trafficking structures in the department of Nariño. In an operation conducted by the Twenty-Third Brigade, of the Third Division, and in accordance with the commitments made with the Ministry of National Defence, a complex for the production of cocaine was destroyed. The Air Assault Aviation Division of the Army, and jointly with the Colombian Air Force and inter-agency with the Attorney General's office a gigantic laboratory for the manufacture of cocaine hydrochloride was found, prosecuted and destroyed.

The information provided by military intelligence was crucial to military units and personnel of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) to penetrate the Trazaval village, in the municipality of Samaniego, where they found a trafficking complex with 13 structures for the production of drugs, with a production of at least a ton and a half a week, which would belong to the structure known as Los Atunes, that finances the Organized Armed Group (GAO) ELN Company Jaime Toño Obando.

Approximately 2 tons of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops in this drug laboratory, as well as abundant liquid and solid supplies valued at approximately 7 billion pesos.

Once again it is evident the relationship between the illegal groups that have generated criminal alliances for the production of this narcotic, in order to strengthen its production and marketing.
