In the course of an operation against drug trafficking, the Colombian Navy seized 367 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 191 kilograms of marijuana, in a rural area of the special district of Buenaventura.
River units of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.2 inspected a boat in Punta Soldado, which had been laid up and abandoned on the coast by its crew members, after a maritime pursuit. When carrying out the search of the boat, the military personnel found inside 19 sacks with 548 rectangular packages, with odor and color characteristics similar to cocaine hydrochloride and marijuana.
The illegal merchandise was transferred to the facilities of the Colombian Navy in the Special District of Buenaventura, where the Technical Investigation Staff - CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office against Drug Trafficking conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test, which left a positive result for 367 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 191 kilograms of marijuana.
The illicit substances apparently belonged to an organization serving drug trafficking in alliance with the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO, structure 6, Jaime Mart铆nez. With this finding, about two million dollars were prevented from entering the criminal structures that commit crimes in the Colombian Pacific.
The material was put into custody of the authorities. No arrests were made during the procedure.
