Hotel Tequendama transforms and joins Marriott International

The Minister of Defense, Guillermo Botero, attended the formal ceremony of the signing of the contract that links the Hotel Tequendama with Marriott International, as part of its transformation and renovation process aimed at strengthening its leadership in the national hotel sector.

 

"We came together to sign, not a simple relationship contract, but the construction of a true partnership with Marriott International, one of the most recognized and largest hotel group on the planet, with more than 5,700 hotels and 150,000 employees around the world," said Minister Botero.

 

The Tequendama Hotel, belonging to the Social and Business Group of Defense (GSED in Spanish), has consolidated in its 66 years of service in Bogota as the icon of the national hospitality, thanks to its position and excellent services including 573 rooms, important events in its Red Room and other auditoriums, restaurants and catering service.

 

Keeping its tradition, the Four Points By Sheraton Tequendama Bogota Hotel, projected to be the great corporate, business and events hotel in the international and historical center and business and tourist development center of the city. In this way, it will be connected to the wide cultural and corporate historic center and the Candelaria zone, characterized by its museums, tourist routes, parks and gastronomy.

 

The support of Marriott hotels, under the Four Points By Sheraton franchise, and its operation through a specialized firm endorsed by the group, will ensure a service with international standards.

 

The Minister of Defense assured that "in this way we give tranquility not only to the shareholders of the Hotel, but also we send a clear message to the international community: in this government and under the leadership of President Iván Duque, we build a better future for the country, where entrepreneurship and legality consolidate as fundamental pillars for the development and progress of the nation ".
