III Bilateral Meeting conducted by the Colombian Military Forces and the Chilean Military Forces

In the facilities of the auditorium of the Tequendama Hotel in Bogota, the Third Bilateral Meeting was held, which included the participation of the official representatives of the General Command of the Colombian Military Forces and representatives of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Chile.

 

The opening ceremony was chaired by Major General Luis Felipe Montoya S谩nchez, Commander of the Joint Strategic Command of the General Command of the Military Forces and the General of Division, 脫scar Mezzano Escanilla, Commander of the V Division of the Army and Commander of the Austral joint Command of Military Forces of Chile as Head of the Chilean Delegation.

 

During his speech, the commander of CCOET, General Montoya S谩nchez, highlighted the importance that is attached to the ties of camaraderie that have characterized our relations over time, indicating that these Bilateral Meetings constitute the best opportunity for cooperation, mainly in the confidence building and a common conception in matters of security and defense.

 

In the same way, he highlighted the relevance of the issues that have been included in the agenda, which will led to the exchange of valuable experiences of the military forces and their relationship with the realities and needs of the region.

 

Meanwhile, General Mezzano Escanilla, expressed his interest in maintaining the historic bonds of partnership and camaraderie conducted by the Military Forces of both countries, which are valid since the very creation of the Military Schools in Colombia. He in the same way highlighted the importance of regional cooperation as a way to combat transnational threats.

 

Finally, he expressed his vows so that these work sessions are pleasant and fruitful for the good of our peoples and the institutions they represent.
