The illicit activities of the residual GAO Iván Ríos are again hit by Colombian National Army, this time in 10,000 million pesos

Nuevamente son afectadas por el Ejército Nacional las economías ilícitas del GAO residual ‘Iván Ríos’, esta vez en 10.000 millones de pesos

The controlled destruction of a building specialized in illegal drug production in Nariño, with a monthly production capacity of four tons of cocaine, led to the visibility of the illegal routes used by the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, to ship narcotics to the United States and Mexico, and to profit economically.

Troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats (CONAT), in coordination with the National Police, carried out in the village of Bocas de Albín de Barbacoas, department of Nariño, the finding of a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory made of nine substructures.

At the scene, the troops found 1615 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride; 1012 gallons of cocaine base in suspension and 950 gallons of liquid cocaine. In addition to 400 kilograms of sulfuric acid and 385 gallons of fuels.

This coca complex would cost 10,000 million pesos, with a monthly production capacity of four tons of cocaine, would belong to the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Iván Ríos.

According to intelligence information, this armed organization would have links with drug trafficking cartels in Mexico, in order to transport shipments of cocaine from the Colombian Pacific, crossing several coastal sectors in Ecuador, to be transported to the United States and Mexico.

Through this military operation, the circulation of approximately 1,615 thousand doses of cocaine was prevented, which reinforces the commitment of the Army to counter illicit activities in the country.
