In Puerto Carreño, in the department of Vichada, the Naval Force of the East and its components met in the Navy Infantry Brigade No.5 to carry out the exercises on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, in order to continue strengthening the procedures and behavior of the men of the Navy of Colombia.
The officers, NCOs and civilians deepened in the subject through talks by the Human Rights Office of the Naval Force of the East. During the activity, the Navy men personified situations where they put into practice the correct implementation of Human Rights and IHL.
The Regional public advocate, Aura Milena Upegui Olaya, who attended the event, said: "I call for you as Naval Force of the East to continue leading this type of exercise to continue so that all the members train on International Humanitarian Law.'' In the same way, the official highlighted the good relations and joint work with the naval institution.
