Thanks to the permanent territorial control in the department of Valle del Cauca, a joint and coordinated operation was conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the National Police. They found and destroyed a laboratory used for cocaine-based paste production in the municipality of Jamundí, Valle. The laboratory was a financing source of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Estructura Sexta Jaime Martinez.

The operation took place in the El Placer village, where after obtaining intelligence information, Army and National Police troops were deployed to destroy the rudimentary laboratory, which was valued at approximately USD $86,000.

As another result of the operation, evidences such as coca leaves stored in tanks, coca-based paste and other elements were seized. They were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office to continue the judicial process.
