Members of the gang “La Empresa” were captured in Bogotá and Armenia

Three people involved in the kidnapping of a citizen in 2019 were captured in operations carried out in Bogota and Armenia.

 

Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Cundinamarca, attached to the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army, in coordination with the Technical Research Corps, CTI, of the Attorney General's Office, capture three alleged members of the Organized Crime Group, GDO, La Empresa.

 

According to the researches, this group perpetrated abductions in the city of Bogotá and Cundinamarca department, intelligence work of the Group Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Cundinamarca led to the finding of the three suspects that were involved in the kidnapping, in may 2019, of a citizen who was held for 10 days against his will. At that time, those captured today, demanded to the victim's family financial payment, represented in a van-like vehicle costing 170,000,000 pesos, and two properties valued at 1,100,000 pesos.

 

Those captured were being required by the Attorney General's Office for the crime of aggravated extortion kidnapping; therefore, they were put into custody of the authorities.
