The Military Forces work to provide security and accompany the inhabitants during this "Quarantine for Life", carrying a message of prevention, self-care and the measures established in the Decree for the mandatory preventive isolation.
Pursuant to Article 2 of the Political Constitution, the authorities are instituted to protect all persons residing in Colombia in their life, honor, property, beliefs and other rights and freedoms. For this reason and in compliance with the instructions in accordance with the Health emergency generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the maintenance of law and order, from the air, the Colombian Air Force informs people on restrictions on displacement and the right of movement, depending on the cases and activities carried out by the community.
These messages reach the inhabitants of eastern Antioquia, in Medellín and its metropolitan area, from a helicopter of Air Combat Command No.5 through an equipment of air speakers, in order to raise awareness and invite people to follow the Decree No. 457 of 2020 and not to leave their houses.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force is closer to the people, ready to serve and accompany, attending to the measures taken by the National Government and preventing as much as possible the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.
