The Colombian Navy prevented drug trafficking organizations from receiving more than 40 million dollars that come from the sale of the alkaloid in the international illegal market.

1.2 tons of cocaine hydrochloride were found by the Colombian Navy through the Pacific Naval Force, after a successful operation carried out by air, sea and land.

The operation that took place in a mouth of the Naya River, in the sector known as Punta Aj铆, in the department of Valle del Cauca, was carried out at the time that eight individuals intended to transport the cache in a lobster-type ship named Ni帽a Diana.

The individuals, noticing the presence of Surface Units of the Pacific Naval Force, Rapid Reaction Units of the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station and an aircraft of the Pacific Aero naval Group, escaped, leaving the boat in a mouth. Later, troops of the navy Infantry River Battalion No.24, find the boat that contained 40 bags of cocaine hydrochloride inside.

The material was transported to the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station to be put into custody of members of the Technical Investigations Corps of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, who tested it leaving positive result for 1,204 kilograms of hydrochloride of cocaine.

The cargo had been distributed in 1,202 rectangular packages, apparently belonged to the residual E-30 Organized Armed Group.
