In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan H茅roes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, in a military operation conducted by the National Army, coordinated with the National Police and inter-institutional with the Attorney General's Office, reported the arrest of seven alleged members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, structure Ur铆as Rond贸n, and the finding of war material in the municipality of El Carmen in the District of Tumaco, Nari帽o.
Through Military Intelligence, troops of Jungle Battalion No.53, in a coordinated effort with the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) of the department of Nari帽o, receive information on these individuals carrying firearms in the 63th km on the way that contacts Tumaco to the municipality of Llorente; the individuals tried to flee, but in the rapid reaction of the units they were arrested.
During the operation it was possible to find three pistols, two fragmentation grenades, magazines, ammunition and communications material; the material found and the individuals were into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
With this result, the armed component of this criminal organization, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking, will be hit.
