Military Forces arrest four alleged Farc dissidents in Buenaventura

In the course of a joint and coordinated operation conducted by units of the Colombian Navy, the National Army and the National Police, it was possible to arrest four alleged members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure 6, Mobile Column Jaime Martínez and to find war material in the Port of Buenaventura.

 

In the municipality of Zacarías, a rural area in the District of Buenaventura, units of the Military Forces arrived to realize a search warrant and obtained the arrest of alias El Paisa, alias El Cholo, alias Venterano and alias El Cali or Caleño.

 

Among those arrested is the alleged ringleader of a group with criminal interference in the municipality of Dagua, Valle del Cauca and his second in command. These individuals are accused of crimes such as extortion and selective homicides.

 

The individuals had in their possession a rifle, a sub machinegun, seven pistols, 198 rounds of ammunition, three fragmentation grenades and 11 magazines. After the arrests, the individuals and the material were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office for prosecution.
