The National Army, in a joint work, co-ordinated and inter-institutional with the Navy of Colombia, the Air Force, the National Police and the Prosecutor's office, in response to the recommendations of the early warning 019 2018 of the municipality of Riosucio, issued by the Ombudsman's office, arrested eight alleged members of the substructure Pablo José Montalvo Cuitiva, of the Organised Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in the department of Chocó.
The military operation that took place in the municipality of Caño Seco, municipality of Riosucio, led to the arrest of alias Vaca, alleged ringleader of the area, and Alias Mil Libras, alleged ringleader of finances of this criminal substructure.
Similarly, six other members of this Organized Armed Group were arrested, including alias El Niche, El Flaco and four more, who were put into custody of the authorities for prosecution.
In the same way, during the search in the area it was possible to recover a minor, a conditions which shows once again the clear violations of international humanitarian law by this GAO.
In the operation it was in the same way possible the finding of two pistols, two im16 grenades, two magazines and communications material and military accessories, which were given to the authorities to carry out the respective prosecution.
