This individual, who would be under the orders of alias Mayimbú, would also have participated in the crime of several social leaders, in the north of this department.
In the municipality of Suarez, Cauca, through military intelligence, troops of the National Army, in coordination with the Police and interagency with the Attorney General's Office, captured alias Martín, recognized hired assassin of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Columna Móvil Jaime Martínez.
This individual, according to what was reported by the authorities, would be the responsible of the crime of the candidate for mayor of the municipality of Suárez, Cauca, Karina García Sierra, and four other people, in September 2019, in the municipality of La Betulia, Suárez.
The criminal record includes his participation in the murder of National Army Sergeant Álvaro Alexander Hernández Parra, on August 13, 2019, in Suarez, Cauca; and the murder of Weimar Arat, Humberto Solis and Armando Montaña, in events that occurred on April 26, 2020, in Buenos Aires, Cauca, where they threw a grenade at a sports center, when a group of people were leaving; as well as the murder of Jesús Alberto Correa Jiménez, on December 27, in Buenos Aires, Cauca; and the murder of Eduardo Medina Rivera, an indigenous leader of the area, which occured on May 7, 2020, in Suarez, Cauca.
The capture must face charges for aggravated homicide, manufacture and traffic of firearms, forced displacement, association to commit crimes, among others.
