After seven months of investigation and decisive military intelligence work, the Military Forces, in coordination with the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, simultaneously carried out 32 raids in eight municipalities on the Caribbean Coast, and arrest 24 alleged members of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) Autodefensas Conquistadores de la Sierra Nevada (ACSN). One of the detainees is an active-duty soldier.

Among those arrested, alias Bebecita stands out, the girl partner of alias Nain, the main ringleader of the GAO ACSN. This woman, arrested in the Department of La Guajira, was in charge of the finances of the organization and had an arrest warrant for her participation in extortion crimes and association to commit crimes.
In the same way, an active Soldier was arrested, who allegedly facilitated the criminal structure the trafficking of firearms and ammunition for the exclusive use of the Military Forces. The timely operation of the military counterintelligence led to the establishment of its role within the illegal organization. This fact, addressed with total transparency, reaffirms that no act of corruption or complicity will be tolerated within the Colombian Military Forces.
During the proceedings, an important war arsenal and logistical material were in the same way seized, including: three pistols, a shotgun, 189 7.62 mm caliber linked cartridges, five grenades, 600 grams of marijuana, 18 million pesos in cash, military accessory material with GAO ACSN badges, uniforms for exclusive use of the Military Forces and communication equipment.
