Military forces find clandestine hideout with two grenades in the department of Guaviare

In military operations, troops of the Joint Task Force ‘Omega’ found and neutralized two improvised explosive devices, made similar to 81 mm grenades, as well as a rudimentary launching device, which were in a clandestine hideout, apparently belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, Structure Primera.

In compliance with the Bicentenary Plan in the village La Cristalina, in the municipality of Calamar, Guaviare, the soldiers of the Ground Combat Operations Battalion No.5 arrived at the place where the ammunition was found, in a pit of approximately one meter long, 80 cm wide and one meter deep.

Once the area was secured and the established protocols were carried out, experts in Explosives and Demolitions proceeded to destroy these devices under controlled conditions without causing damage to the troops or civilians.
