Military forces find illegal hideout with two tons of explosives in Meta

The Joint Task Force 'Omega' in military control operation, achieved the discovery and subsequent destruction of two tons of explosives in the village San Miguel, municipality of Mesetas, in the department of Meta, where in 2019 more than four tons of explosives were found.

 

The operation that was conducted thanks to the intelligence of the Navy infantry of the National Navy, led to the units of the Rapid Deployment Force No.1, to the site. After a technical and careful operation in the area, the Criminal Investigation Group, GROIC, of ​​the National Police, entered the area to conduct the respective judicial procedure and continued to carry out the controlled destruction by Technicians specialized in Explosives and Demolitions of the National Army, authorized by the Attorney General's Office.

In the place they, in the same way found six improvised explosive devices, ready to be planted in the area.

This material would have a lethal range of more than 200 meters around and would belong to alias 'Calarca', ringleader of the Residual Organized Armed Group, Structure 40.
