Military forces find illegal hideouts with explosives in the department of Meta

The result came after intelligence work; with this blow the criminal operations against the civilians and the units that exercise institutional control in the area are prevented.

The troops of the Eastern Specific Command, attached to the Joint Task Force ‘Omega’, in the frame of the Heroes of Freedom Bicentenary Plan, find and subsequently destroy 12 antipersonnel mines and three explosive devices in rural area of Meta.

The units of the Ground Operations Battalion No.4 arrived at the municipality of Puerto Rico, Meta, finding the first hideout in Puerto Chispas, which contained 12 antipersonnel mines; in the village El Danubiio, the second hideout was found with three explosive devices inside.

The explosive material would belong to the Residual organized Armed Group (GAO-r) - Seventh Structure.
