The operation against drug trafficking organizations linked to the "Clan del Golfo", which commit crimes in this region of the country, is being carried out by units of the Colombian Navy, the National Police, the National Army and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office General of the Nation.
During the operation, it was possible to find 48 bags, which contained 1200 hidden packages in two clandestine depots (totaling three hideouts of this type in the same sector) and discover about two tons of cocaine, in the course of this week.
The shipment was taken to the municipality of Turbo, in Antioquia, where the judicial authorities carried out the Preliminary Identification Test - Piph, giving positive result for 1,193.70 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
With the confiscation of this large amount of alkaloids, it was prevented that the finances of the groups at the service of drug trafficking, received more than 40 million dollars, estimated value of this shipment of narcotics, in the international black market.
